"It was a big surprise," said one team member in reference to the invitation to take part into Germany Tour.
And this is because it is the most prestigious stage race in the international calendar. Germany Tour consists of 10 stages at which each team may try their best, whether mountain, sprint, beating the clock ...
In a press release we can read some initial observations of the general manager, Homer: "This is not like a racing day. I will sign up riders that are in better shape and who can bring something to the team in a difficult race like German Tour. Of course, Saul Valente will be our flagship. He is doing a very good season and the team will be supporting him the whole time. Baltazar Campos and Cesaro Diago carried as far as possible to Saul at hardest climbs.
We have mark two stages in red: these are the stages of Heidelber-Freiburg and Munich-Kempten. At these days, Saul will give the best. The goal for the team is a good position in the general classification. 10 th would be undoubtedly a resounding success, but we know the very high level of race and how hard it will be a place in the top 10. Anyway, participate in this race is a goal and a recognition of the great work that this team is doing. "
Sources inside the club said that they have a rider that will try a break away in all stages to bring the C.C.Riaza´s colours to all spectators of Germany Tour.

Y no es para menos porque se trata de la carrera por etapas más prestigiosa del calendario internacional. La carrera consta de 10 etapas en las que cada corredor podrá probar sus mejores habilidades, ya sea montaña, sprint, contrareloj...
En una nota de prensa se recogen unas primeras observaciones del mánager general, Homer: "Esto no es como las carreras de un día. Quiero llevar a los corredores que estén en mejor forma y que puedan aportar algo al equipo en una carrera tan exigente. Por supuesto, Saul Valente será nuestra punta de lanza. Está haciendo una temporada muy buena y en esta carrera todo el equipo estará apoyándole en cada momento. Baltazar Campos y Cesaro Diago llevarán lo más lejos posible a Saul en los puertos más duros. Por otra parte, Olaf Hudgens, nuestro reciente fichaje, aprovechará para adquirir experiencia, es la joven perla del equipo.
Tenemos dos fechas señaladas en rojo: se trata de las etapas de Heidelber-Freiburg y de Munich-Kempten. En ellas Saul dará lo mejor de sí mismo. El objetivo para él será un buen puesto en la clasificación general. Un 10º puesto sería sin lugar a dudas un rotundo éxito, aunque sabemos el grandísimo nivel de la carrera y lo difícil que será conseguir un puesto en el top 10. De cualquier forma poder participar en esta carrera es ya un premio y un reconocimiento al gran trabajo que está haciendo este equipo."
Por otro lado, fuentes internas del club nos han dejado ver que hay un corredor que irá en todas las etapas a buscar una buena fuga y así hacer ver los colores del equipo en el país germano.
